BOIL WATER ADVISORY- On January 5th, 2018 the City of Fairmont had a main water line break on RT 250 in Fairmont, causing a loss of water service to homes on RT 250, Pleasant View Circle, Rivercrest Drive, Fairmont Ave. Extension, Crestwood Circle, Idlewyle Lane, Otlahurst Drive, and the surrounding area.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If your service has had low pressure, been interrupted or discoloration has occurred to the water in your home or business:

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a boil, let in boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water for brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Boiling your water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

WHAT HAPPENED? WHAT IS BEING DONE? The City of Fairmont has had a main water line break causing an interruption in service. Samples will be collected for bacteriological testing and results will be determined in 24 hrs. Please contact The Water Treatment Plant at 304-366-1461 on January 6th, 2018 after 6:00 p.m.to determine if the boil water advisory has been lifted.
