Boil Water-Maple Ave from the intersection of Baltimore St to Williams St, Holbert Ave & surrounding

The City of Fairmont Water Department is fixing a water line main break affecting Maple Ave from the intersection of Baltimore Street to Williams Street, Holbert Ave, Garrett Ave, Lehman Ave, Sands Street, Fitzgerald Ave and the surrounding area.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If your service has had low water pressure, a loss of water, or discoloration of water, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.

Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Boiling your water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

What is being done? City of Fairmont is repairing a water line. Samples will be collected for bacteriological testing and results determined in 24hrs. Please contact the Water Treatment Plant at 304-366-1461 on July 13th, 2017 after 11:00pm to determine if the boil water advisory has been lifted.
