On November 5th , 2019 The City of Fairmont water department is repairing a main water line on Fairmont Avenue at the address of 2386 White Hall Blvd., this will affect Fairmont Avenue and the surrounding areas.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If your service has had low water pressure, a loss of water, or discoloration of water, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.

Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Boiling your water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

What is being done? City of Fairmont is repairing a main water line. Samples will be collected for bacteriological testing and results determined in 24hrs. Please contact the Filtration Plant at 304-366-1461 on November 6th, 2019 after 6:00 pm to determine if the boil water advisory has been lifted.
