Boil Water affecting Fairmont Ave., from Otlahurst Dr. to Muriale’s Italian Kitchen, including Idlew
On August 3, 2022 the City of Fairmont Water Department is repairing a main water line affecting Fairmont Ave., from Otlahurst Dr. to Muriale’s Italian Kitchen, including Idlewyle Ln., Crestwood Circle, Fairmont Avenue Exd., Pleasant View Circle, River Crest Dr., and the surrounding area.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If your service has low water pressure, a loss of water, or discoloration of water, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.
Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Boiling your water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
What is being done? City of Fairmont is repairing a main water line. Samples will be collected for bacteriological testing and results determined in 24hrs. Please contact the Filtration Plant at 304-366-1461 on August 4, 2022 after 3:30 pm to determine if the boil water advisory has been lifted.
