FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Prime 6, a producer of eco-friendly and sustainable solid fuels, has announced Fairmont as the location for its new manufacturing facility. This move brings with it a $35 million investment to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility just outside of Fairmont’s city limits in the former home of Phillips Lighting Co. The development is poised to bring 75-100 jobs.
The public is invited to celebrate this milestone at a groundbreaking ceremony and community Town Hall Event on Nov. 22.
"Prime 6 is thrilled to bring new job opportunities to Fairmont while advancing our mission to create sustainable solid fuel solutions,” said Oron Franco, COO of Prime 6. “Our new facility is a testament to our commitment to innovative, environmentally conscious manufacturing and community partnership.”
The City of Fairmont is thrilled to form this relationship and see support from the Governor’s office and outside investment into our community.
“This is a sign of the great things to come in Fairmont. We at the City are still pushing forward with our plans of recreational development and opportunities, but the arrival of a manufacturing facility in our backyard will diversify our opportunities,” City Manager Travis L. Blosser said.
