[ARCHIVED] SIX City Council Sets will be up for election this November

City Council Elections 2022

As the filing period begins for county and statewide elections, this is a friendly reminder that Fairmont City Council elections are not part of the primary elections. This means the filing period for available council seats will not begin until July 11, 2022 and will be open until August 10, 2022. The following Fairmont City Council seats will be part of the November 8, 2022 General Election (held in conjunction with the County's General Election): District 1, District 3, District 5, District 8, and District 9 for 4 year terms and District 7 for the 2 year unexpired term. Council seats are voted on "at large" which means all residents can vote in each district race no matter which district they reside in.
